We will continue our study of the life and teachings of Jesus through the New Testament. There is a particularly strong emphasis on contemporary issues this term. |

Year 8 |
We will study aspects of the life and teachings of Jesus from the New Testament. There is particular emphasis on the relevance of his teachings in contemporary times. After half term we begin our study of the Hindu Religion and lifestyle. |

Year 7 |
Through contemporary issues we will begin a study of Judaeo-Christian faith in the Old Testament. We will cover narratives from Genesis to Psalms. |

Year 6 |
We will study Islam, looking at Muslim beliefs and practice. A visit to the Oxford Mosque and meeting with members of the Muslim community plays a key part. Moving towards Christmas we will look at the Christian world view, the Bible and the story of the Prodigal Son. |

Year 5 |
We will study figures from the Old Testament who are significant in both Jewish and Christian faiths. We will relate these to our own feelings and experiences and consider what these stories teach Jews and Christians about the nature of God. |

Year 4 |
R.E.Detectives. We will look at the variety of faiths in Great Britain; their symbols and places of worship. We will look at Christianity in more depth, and the way Christians may live out their faith. |

Year 3 |
"God's Rescue Plan" We will be considering the power of God and his love for his people as we study rescue stories from the Old Testament. |

Year 2 |
What it means to belong to a family. Children will look at the routines in their own lives. They will consider what it is like to be a Christian. Light and Dark - considering different festivals and traditions. |

Year 1 |
Ourselves - Share what is special to us and think about how we care for these things. Gifts & Giving - Think about when we give gifts. Discuss gifts that cost no money and the gifts that were given to Jesus when he was born. |
