There was much excitement as our latest visitors, a pair of Humboldt penguins, visited the children in Reception to Year 3. The children listened in awe as Barbara the penguin guardian explained about habitats, diet, lifestyle and special penguin features. This was an inspirational opening to Book Week, offering us an exciting stimulus for our writing. The children and adults learnt a wealth of new facts and it turns out that penguins are just as nosy as people!
