Many boys were really excited by the partial eclipse which peaked at 0930 this cloudy morning. The weather wasn't ideal, but when the sun did peep through the clouds the crescent caused by the moon moving across the sun's path could be seen clearly if you had taken proper precautions to view it safely. Sadly there was too much haze and clouds for pinhole cameras to work successfully for more than a second or two at a time. Many forms watched one of the TV feeds coming from Scotland where the eclipse was even more dramatic. Afterwards in CDT, the Y6 boys drew lovely pictures of partial and total eclipses in chalk on black paper.
