Malvern College hosted the 27th annual National Preparatory Schools’ Cross-Country Championships on Sunday in which over 1000 pupils from more than 80 schools competed, in perfect cross-country conditions, albeit a strong breeze. The Under 11 and Under 13 boys’ races across the Malvern College campus and the Wells Common, yielded the following results.

In a field of 271 U11 runners Sam came 19th in a time of 11:05. Sam was closely followed by a fast finishing and determined George who finished in 22nd place. The top four scoring runners all finished in the top one hundred runners and finished 7th out of the forty seven competing schools.

While three of our other runners; Monty, Jacob and Freddie all finished high enough in the field to secure a team place of 3rd for the Under 13 boys.

Mikey and Max, both still in Year 7 will have gained a great deal of experience and will no doubt return next year stronger, fitter and more determined.
