This year’s upper school play was an ambitious staging of ‘Lord of the Flies’.

In a stripped down production, performed in the round, the emphasis was very much on the quality of the acting; there was quite literally nowhere to hide as all the cast were on stage for the whole play.

The lead roles of Jack, Ralph and Piggy were taken by Jamie Sudlow, Darius Oraee and Ethan Sarphie. Their performances were memorable, combining vulnerability and empathy with menace and anger.
