Our annual House Music Competition was held on the Friday before we broke up for half term and as usual it was a very entertaining afternoon. This year our adjudicator was Alex Tester, Director of Music at St. Edward’s and he gave some really helpful and encouraging remarks to each performer.
Around 80% of the boys from Years 1-8 took part in the first round, making it very difficult to pick just three finalists from each year group. The successful boys were: Zac (Y1), Edward (Y2), Nikhil (Y3), Leo (Y4), Jamie (Y5), Freddie (Y6), Ashwin (Y7), Alec and David (Y8).
From these year group winners an overall competition winner was selected and therefore winner of the House Music Cup. For his spectacular piano performance of Schubert’s Impromptu no.2, this went to Ashwin (Dragon House) for the second year running.
