Blue Watch from Abingdon Fire Station came to visit Reception to Year 3 to talk about fire safety and explore the fire engine. The crew talked about smoke detectors, escape plans at home and the words to remember – Get Out! Get the Fire Brigade Out! Stay Out! They showed us all the protective equipment that fire crew wear for their safety and gave us a tour around the fire engine, which is full of amazing equipment to be used when they are called out to an incident. The boys were particularly excited to have a go with the hose – spraying water at a cone to chase it along the playground. Thank you to Blue Watch for helping to keep us safe.
