Before half term, renowned artist Beatrice Hoffman came to work with our Year 8 art scholars in the Art department for a whole day's specialist clay workshop.

The scholarship candidates enjoyed the day enormously. We all learnt a great deal more about the possibilities of clay, how to craft an accurate form taking into account an animals shapes and proportions.

Beatrice works as a full time sculptor exhibiting all over the world. She has also worked with a great many schools,  professional establishments, and currently offers unique workshops from her home near Abingdon.

The boys were incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Beatrice, and were truly inspired by how they might create their next piece using their new found 3d skills.

A wonderfully creative day.
