Boys from Abingdon featured, albeit very briefly, in the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. The boys were filmed rowing on the Thames and can be seen in the Ceremony's opening film sequence on the BBC web site at www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2012/live-video/p00wm0br (about 5½ minutes into the recording).
