6.30 pm Reception, 7.15 pm Dinner - Abingdon School

Andy Loughe, Modern Languages Coordinator, warmly invites OAs and other members of the Abingdon community with an interest in modern languages to join current boys and members of the Modern Languages Department (past and present) for a reception and dinner on Friday 16 March 2012. 

We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be Rt. Hon. David Lidington, MP, Minister for Europe.

The dress code for the evening will be lounge suits.  The drinks reception in the Charles Maude Room from 6.30 pm will be followed by a formal dinner in the School’s Dining Hall.  After dinner there will be a short address by our guest speaker who will then be pleased to take questions.

As well as providing an opportunity to catch up with old friends, the event will give current pupils a chance to meet OAs currently studying modern languages at university and younger alumni a chance to network with their OA predecessors now established in a variety of professions after an academic grounding in modern languages.

As you may be aware, Peter Willerton is retiring in 2012 and it would be wonderful if you could join us to celebrate his 37 years at Abingdon at this dinner.
