The cohort of OAs who left Abingdon in the 1960s have for many years enjoyed their own annual reunion, organised more or less independently of the main body of OA Club activities. These reunion events traditionally take place in the autumn of each year and are co-ordinated by a volunteer representative of the OA 60s cohort.
In recent years these events have developed into more than just a reunion dinner and afternoon activities on offer have included steam boat trips on the river Thames, a tour of the internationally acclaimed Leather Technology Centre in Northampton and for 2010 a visit to the Gurkha Museum in Winchester, which is being organised by Richard Morris for Friday 22 October 2010.
Further particulars of the 2010 OA 60s event, including an itinerary, prices and contact details for Richard Morris, will follow shortly so please keep watching the OA Club website. We will also be circulating details of the event to all 1960s OAs by e-mail so please register for the OA online members' area to make sure that we have your current e-mail address.
