National Liberal Club, Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE
On a fresh spring evening in March over 60 OAs spanning over 50 years gathered at the National Liberal Club for an evening of socialising with friends, colleagues and common room members past and present.
Thank you to Mike Stevens 1968 for hosting the event and for bringing together a varied and colourful group of OAs. Felicity Lusk gave a vibrant speech informing OAs of the exciting plans for the progression of Abingdon School as it moves into a new era. Between Mike and Felicity the ideas of lasting community and continuing friendship were enhanced and reinforced leading us perfectly into the social part of the evening.

The evening was a roaring success all round, the surroundings making for a beautiful event for all involved. We were privileged enough to not only be hosted in a wonderful room, but then also given guided tours by our very gracious event sponsor Alan Williams 1965. This added a special something to the evening which I think greatly increased everyone's enjoyment, making us especially grateful to Alan. If you would like to read Alan's own account of the evening which coveys many of the same sentiments written here, please find the link here.
It was very nice to see so many Old Abingdonians turn out for the event that was a social call for many. What was particularly nice was to see the range and variety of old boys attending.
We are very much encouraged to hear how many boys would like to see this as an annual event and we hope to see you all next year.
