Saturday 27 November
Michaelmas Term 2010 sees the 100th year since the birth of Sir James Cobban, headmaster of Abingdon School 1947-1970. To celebrate this momentous occasion on Saturday 27 November the OA Club will be hosting a Cobban Centenary Celebration at School, culminating in the OA Club Annual Dinner, which will be dedicated to the memory of Sir James.
There will be tours of the School in the afternoon with tea and light refreshments available afterwards. These will be followed by Evensong in the School Chapel. After the service there will be a drinks reception followed by the OA Club Annual Dinner. Sir James' daughters will be joining us for this event and we hope that as many 'Cobban boys' as possible will be able to come back to School to take part in this celebration.
Tickets for this event are now available to book online, over the phone on 01235 849074 or by sending a cheque and a booking form to the OA Office. The response to this event has been excellent and tickets are selling out fast. If you would like to attend the dinner, we urge you to book online as soon as possible.
A current guest list can be downloaded here. If you have any further questions, please contact the OA Office.
