Bathed in stunning summer sunshine, the evening of Friday 22 June was the perfect setting for this year’s OA vs Pupil Twenty20 Cricket fixture. Numerous OAs, pupils, parents, families, staff and other friends of the School congregated on War Memorial Field to play in and spectate this quality match, which continued until last light – just in time for a well-earned BBQ.

Many thanks go to Chris Burnand for umpiring the match from start to finish and to James Golding, Abingdon School's Director of Cricket, who had positive words to say about the fixture:

“The T20 match against an excellent OA XI on Friday evening went down to the last ball, with the 1st XI falling just three runs short of a fantastic victory. This was a great event and we look forward to repeating it next year.”

We are grateful to all those who took the time to support this OA Club sporting event, and hope to see many of you again at next year’s match – if not another fixture in the meantime. Will the OAs be able to repeat their winning performance?
