Autumn 2009 saw the launch of a new OA Club initiative: a series of professional networking dinners, intended to encourage communication and interaction between OAs and other branches of the Abingdon School community.
While every OA event has the potential to be a valuable networking experience, these professional dinner are specifically designed to give established professional OAs the chance to meet others employed in their chosen field. The events also provide an opportunity for younger alumni and current pupils with an interest in a particular profession to interact with OAs already working in that field. Other members of the wider school community are also invited to attend these events, including current and former parents, Governors and members of staff.
