Mock Election

The Abingdon School Mock Election took place today on the same day as the General Election. Turnout was high, at sixty-four percent, following vigorous campaigning by the parties involved. The Monster Raving Loony Party ran a highly successful campaign, involving free jelly babies and selling socks in batches of three at the school shop. However, the vote did not go their way across the board. Each House was treated as a separate constituency and the results are as follows:

Boyd's Monster Raving Loony Party
Christodoulou's United Kingdom Independence Party
Crescent Monster Raving Loony Party
Franklin's Conservative Party
Lower School Monster Raving Loony Party
O'Doherty's Conservative Party
Phelps' Monster Raving Loony Party
School Monster Raving Loony Party
Southwell-Sander's Monster Raving Loony Party
Webb's Monster Raving Loony Party
Staff Conservative Party

Stephen Poland, leader of the Monster Raving Loony Party, will therefore be invited to form the next Government.
