The Lower School team maths challenge is an annual event. The boys compete in teams of 4 over three rounds, in the first they simply answer questions as a team; for the second, they split in half and some work on 'down' clues and some 'across' clues on a number crossword; finally the last round is a relay race, where they are only able to present the next question to their teammate if they have solved their own question first.
The idea was to enjoy doing maths, and to develop problem solving skills within a very different and fun environment. They had to deal with questions of a type they may not have seen before. The afternoon proved to be a great success.
