Historians’ Paris Trip

History In Paris

2 - 4 April 2011

The Paris trip saw nine 6th form students and two members of staff (Mr McGill and Mr Hallinan) travel to Paris to learn about the events of the French Revolution and Napoleon's rule. We visited the Louvre Museum to see the paintings by David that inspired a generation of revolutionaries as well as the Conciergerie where many of those same leaders awaited the guillotine. We also visited Napoleon's tomb and the Arc de Triomphe as well as taking in the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre.
