GCSE Graphics trip to London museums

1 December 2010

The 4th and 5th year Graphics specialists travelled to London to visit two museums, the London Transport Museum and the Museum of Brands. The boys used the time to sketch, draw and take photographs and found much to inspire them. The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, a small museum built round Robert Opie's collection of packaging ephemera, is a fascinating collection and charts the changing typefaces and design fashions of the consumer world. The London Transport Museum, as well as having a collection of vehicles, holds original drawings and designs for the iconic underground posters.
