This week marked the UK leg of this year’s French exchange. 33 French teenagers from Lycée la Nativité in Aix-en-Provence, accompanied by three teachers, were hosted by Abingdon boys and staff and were able to have a taste of life in an English family and school. This is the 7th edition of this highly popular and successful exchange. Visits during the week included Cadbury World, Warwick Castle, Keble College in Oxford, Bath (city twinned with Aix), the British Museum and the Globe Theatre.
The group thoroughly enjoyed their stay in spite of the arctic conditions. These didn’t seem quite so bad when reports came through of sub zero temperatures in Aix. Many thanks to all the boys, families and staff involved in hosting the exchange. We are already looking forward to our trip to Aix at Easter.
