Four Abingdon oarsmen were selected to represent Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse that was held in Banyoles, Spain over the weekend. James Richards, Thomas Pagel, Joel Cooper and Matthew Carter were selected as members of the coxed four and the Eight.

The event saw crews from 12 European Countries compete over two days. The boys performed exceptionally well in both events and came away with a bronze medal in the coxed four and won gold in the Eight. It was a tremendous way to end off what has been a fantastic season for the Boat Club.

Four OA’s represented Great Britain at the U23 World Championships in Lithuania. George Rossiter was a member of the coxless four that won a bronze medal. Oliver and Jamie Cook were coxed by Max Gander as members of the Eight that narrowly missed out on a medal coming in fourth.
