First Year Trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace

5 July 2010

Members of the first year travelled to Fishbourne Roman Palace, the largest Roman domestic building north of the Alps, to find out more about the lives of the Romans who lived there. They spent time exploring the Roman-style garden, looked at the excellent collection of mosaics, and studied genuine Roman artifacts in a workshop run by Fishbourne staff. Some of them even got to dress up and do the duties of a slave!
