Seven Upper Sixth boys today attended a performance of Marlowe's Dr. Faustus at The Globe. The play fits in to their study of Gothic literature and gave the students a real sense of spectacle and the macabre. The performance was full of intrigue and surprise with actors dressed as demons, monsters on stilts, pyrotechnics galore and some very life-like bodily wounds. An exciting experience for all and a chance to see the play in a fantastic setting.
Thanks to all who attended: Charlie Bateman, Henry Jenkinson, Howard Winfield, Toby Blong, Oliver Bailey, Luke Terry and Rob Noyes (especially as it was a rather late return!).
Added thanks to Kevin Carson for driving the mini-bus on a gothic-themed foggy route back to school.
