Abingdon School has long been recognised for educational excellence and for wide-ranging achievements in music, sport and the arts. And, the benefits of the education we provide go far beyond the classroom providing an environment that encourages young men to think beyond themselves and to grow in depth. The success of our alumni in so many different fields bears testament to this.
But, the changing world in which we live brings challenges and, if that excellence is to continue, our aim must be to innovate and adapt at pace. Good performances in recent public examinations, together with a healthy demand for places into the foreseeable future, have given the Governors the confidence to embark on a major programme of development which will support that aim. However, we need the support of our wider community to speed its delivery.
Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to have many generous benefactors who have helped the School grow and take shape and we know that many of you still share our vision and our determination to ensure we remain as a centre of excellence at the forefront of education. We know also that many of you share our philosophy of ensuring that financial constraints are not a barrier to able boys with the drive and potential to succeed.
