Congratulations to two AFU filmmakers who have both had their films accepted for the “Screentest” National Student Film Festival in London. David Bicarregui's “Fade Away” is an imaginative evocation of the experience of dementia, and has been nominated for an award for the “most original use of cinematography” at the festival. Louis Edward's film “Limbo” is a virtually wordless comedy with a surprisingly moving twist at the end. It, too, may be in the running for an award.

Both films had already earned their directors a Michael Grigsby Young Filmmaker Award last September so it is a delight to see them achieving further recognition in a Festival that has attracted submissions from across the U.K.

The Festival takes place at the University of Greenwich and the films will be screened as part of the Festival programmes running on Friday 10 March from 5pm and Saturday 11 March from 8.30pm. For tickets and further information please visit the Festival website at: www.screentestfest.org.uk.
