The generosity of Abingdon's wider community has led to the successful conclusion of the Chapel window appeal with just under £150,000 raised and pledged. Seven new windows have now been commissioned and will be installed between 1 December and the end of March 2012.
Jan Glover, Abingdon's Development Director, said: "This is fantastic news. I have seen Nicholas Mynheer's final designs and they are absolutely stunning. The Chapel will be alive with colour and will offer a new and different spiritual dimension. I know the boys will see something different each time they look at one of the colour windows which tie aspects of the School year and the church year together in a way which is endlessly fascinating."
