CCF Field Day at RAF Duxford

28 September 2011

Today marked the first CCF Field Day of this year, with weather that could not have contrasted more with last year’s!

The entire contingent of over 100 cadets and officers spent the day at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. This gave us a chance to look around the museum and its incredible collection of military aircraft, land vehicles and weaponry. As well as British aircraft, many such as the Spitfire famed for their role in the Battle of Britain, the museum is home to a large number of American aircraft including the SR-71 Blackbird and B-52 Stratofortress.

Thank you once again to all of our officers who gave up their time for the organisation and smooth running of the field day.

Flight Sergeant Matthew Landells, Senior Cadet
