For the first time, officers and cadets from across the CCF gathered in School this evening for a formal contingent dinner. The evening gave us a chance to learn some of the customs and traditions of such an event, such as the Loyal Toasts and the pranks played on myself as Mr Vice for the evening!
After three fantastic courses, the evening was completed with speeches from the OC, Major Kaye, and the visiting guest, Lt Col McRae, Commanding Officer of 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment.
A new experience for many of us: but certainly an enjoyable one. Thanks must go to to Lt Col McRae and Mrs McRae for giving up their time to be our guests at the dinner, Major Kaye for organising the event, and the catering staff for a fantastic meal.
