Summer Term 2012
The Joint Bus Service is operated using 3 coach operators. Blunsdon Coach Travel from Witney operate our East Hendred, Woodstock & 4.20pm Grove routes. Whites Coaches from Culham operate our Faringdon, Buckland & 4.20pm Witney routes. The remainder of our routes are operated by Weavaway Travel from bases in Newbury & Reading. North Oxford, Islip, Thame & Watlington routes are currently operated by Pearces Coaches on behalf of Weavaway.
Oxford Routes - Tuesday 22nd May 2012
Due to the Halfords Tour Series Cycling event taking place tomorrow in the St Giles area our 2 coaches going through the centre of Oxford will need to take alternative routes. We only need to make 2 stop changes details below.
Islip Route: St Anne’s Stop (Plantation Rd) Please can you use the St Margaret’s Road stop (07.50hrs) the morning of 22nd May.
North Oxford Route: Randolph Hotel pick up will move to bottom of Beaumont Street/Walton Street AM & PM
Hopefully our route will run as close to scheduled as possible
Lost Property
A new online form is available either from the link at the side of this page. Please can you use this to let us know about any items that may have been left on the school bus routes we operate. We will then liaise with the coach operators on your behalf. This is now the method by which you can report or enquire about lost items.
Please do not contact the coach operator or school directly by telephone or email.
Reading Station Stop
Our stop at Reading Station has been moved from WE to WI in the old bus station this is due to long term construction work.
Temporary & Late Bus Passes
For temporary or late bus passes please email admin@jointbus.co.uk with your child’s name and details of the route/stop required and whether your child is a regular traveller. Requests for passes the same day must be received by 11am. Providing spaces are available a pass will be issued. St Helen’s pupils can collect these from the Bursary at St Helen’s. Passes for Abingdon pupils will be sent to the Common Room Secretary. Temporary passes are only available on a termly basis and must be applied for at the start of each term. Due to limited spare capacity on routes to and from school Late & Temporary passes are not guaranteed and will be issued on a first come first served basis. If your pass is no longer required please can you make us aware so we can allocate the seat to somebody else.
Coach Locker Procedure
To improve the safety of the coach journeys to and from schools the following procedure will be followed. Please ensure that your child understands his/her role in this procedure.
Coach lockers may only be opened or closed by the driver who is the keyholder.
Passengers must wait for the driver to disembark before boarding or disembarking so that the driver can attend to the locker promptly.
On homeward bound trips passengers are asked to tell the driver if they have baggage they need to retrieve before disembarking.
