On Friday evening boys, residential tutors, matrons, housemasters and their wives and Mr Wickes attended a formal Dinner, starting with a drinks reception in the dining room garden. After the starter came the main meal of Guinea Fowl followed by a delicious dessert.
Mr Marriott, the new Head of Boarding, spoke briefly about living as a community and taking up opportunities offered at the school. A toast to the “Abingdon Boarding Community” concluded a very special, and good-humoured evening with boarders mixing across the houses.
