Abingdon beat St Birinus 3-2 in the final of the Oxfordshire Schools Badminton Competition to go through to the regional finals for the first time. Daniel Chen, James Zhou, Gem Vongseenin and Bernard Ng came through the first round without losing a game against King Alfred's and Wood Green. The final proved a tougher task, but Abingdon's strength in depth and experience at doubles saw them through to the finals, which will be held at the Surrey Sports Ground in Guildford on 3rd March.
