Amey Theatre

The Amey Theatre sits at the heart of the School’s Arts Centre and comprises a 470 seat auditorium with fully raked seating and balcony. The stage is large and includes a wedge shaped apron thrusting out to within feet of the audience. Alternatively the orchestra pit beneath the apron stage can be revealed when needed. The area is versatile and can be adapted to a wide range of uses. The Theatre is equipped with modern stage lighting and sound facilities.

Supporting the main auditorium is a range of spaces including conservatory style foyer, box office and the usual audience facilities.

A rich and diverse programme takes place throughout the year offering a mix of School productions, concerts, lectures, films and local organisation’s events. The Amey Theatre acts as a focus for much cultural activity in the area.

The Theatre and other areas in the Arts Centre may be booked for events subject to availability within the School’s programme.
